Well, UpdateDivider=-1 will cause the measure to not "register" what was being input in the first place, unless MeasureName= is set on the measure, so that's a point for it, not sure if the only one.

I don't agree that this is true though. With my search skin, the value of the measure is certainly set and used in any "action" by using the [MeasureName] section variable as soon as the action is fired. During that action, you can use !SetVariable or !SetOption on a String measure if you want to "save" value for further use. None of the behavior is in any way changed by UpdateDivider=-1.
