Yes its defiantly nice having the codec info and if the media is being direct played or if your media server is transcoding it.
The skins been pretty useful so far as im often on my laptop or at my desk with something playing on my tv in the background. This makes it easy to check how much longer tell the media playing is done or what episode is playing or if i need to pause it for some reason(as i often forget to bring the remote with me.)
Controls should be able to play/pause, stop, ff, rewind, next, and previous on any device running jellyfin. Ive got 6 devices that have the jellyfin app installed and 3 users. I can set the skin to display info for a certain device or user and get the info for whatever is being played. So You could setup multiple instances of the skin so you could display info for all devices or users.

Personally, I couldn't have cared less about the interest in the WMP like skin I (re)designed for PotPlayer years ago on DeviantArt (for which I also did only the video part as that was what I used the player for), I just thought it looked nice and could be useful to others. Years have passed and it turned out it was appreciated by folks, I even found it in huge skin packs for that player (which I still use today, just not with my own skin, go figure!) and thought, well, I must have done something right, after all.

I get what you mean. That was the scorecards for me and it seems like a good amount of people use it. Idk how much interest this will get or not. Its something i use so it might be something someone else is looking for too.
